Installation page
*NEW* IR extender specs

The Mitac Mio e538 driver works with PC2002 & PC2003.

  1. Pocket PC users MUST remove memory cards when installing the driver. Cards present in the system when installing will result in the Pocketop keyboard to show up in the input selector, but will not be "selectable".
  2. Ensure you have the lastest device system software installed for your handheld.
  3. Remove any previous versions of the Keyboard Driver on your handheld by accessing the Add/Remove Programs application within the Programs directory. Highlight the driver and tap remove.
  4. Perform a soft re-set.
  5. Download the PocketPC driver to any location on your hard drive.
  6. Unzip the file. Run Winzip and drag the files to a temporary directory of your choice.
    (Use the free Winzip tool)
  7. Double Click on Setup.exe

  10. The Keyboard driver can be activated launching any application, other than the Today screen, and accessing the "Pocketop Keyboard" from the choice of input methods. Tap on "Pocketop Keyboard" when the pop-up menu appears activating the driver at which point icons will appear for rotation, backlight brightness, text macro and sound off/on.
  11. Note that bundled 3rd party rotational software does not work with our PC2003 driver. Our IR extender will be available for approx. $19.95
