IDC Newsletter - Smart Handheld Insider MARCH 21, 2002 Analysts: Travis Glasson, Kevin Burden, Tim Mui, Alex Slawsby, Weili Su, Jason Spaulding, and Michael Sullivan New PDA Keyboards On March 18, Pocketop Computer announced its entrance into the PDA input solutions market. The Canadian company introduced a wireless keyboard that uses an infrared port to communicate with a PDA. The folding keyboard is compatible with both the Palm and PocketPC OS, and requires a single AAA battery which reportedly lasts six months under normal use. Pocketop Keyboard's software-oriented design allows for connectivity with future generations of devices, thereby significantly reducing hardware upgrades. Micro Innovations will market the product, with a list price of $119.00.
